This is one just for the adults! With Christmas only 23 days away (eek!), I thought it was about time to talk about some favourite festive drinks. If you are anything like me, then you will be looking to stock up your alcohol cupboard pretty soon to enjoy throughout the holiday season; and in my house Christmas begins on 1st December!
So, here are some of my absolute favourite drinks to have as the perfect accompaniment to my meal or to snuggle up on the sofa with.
#1 Tesco Finest Irish Cream with Whiskey
This was my personal favourite last Christmas and I cannot wait to get my hands on it again! I definitely prefer it to the brand version. Absolutely perfect to enjoy alongside some Christmas cookies.
A must-have classic to have in your cupboard for Christmas Day! I can’t imagine the festive period without it – saying that, I’ve already gone through an entire bottle of Advocaat!
#3 Echo Falls Raspberry and Cassis
A year ago, I wasn’t much of a wine drinker at all but over the past twelve months I have tried a huge variety of wines and this has quickly become my favourite. If ever there is wine in the mix, this is the one that I just must buy!
#4 Tesco Finest Mulled Wine
I’m not sponsored by Tesco, honest! I just really like some of their selection of alcoholic drinks. This is the mulled wine I bought last year and already have it again for this year.
#5 Homemade Candy Cane Vodka
Last year I made a huge batch of Candy Cane Vodka, not only for myself but for a few gifts as well. I really enjoyed making and drinking it, and so did those who received it as a present. Here is the recipe that I used.
#6 Jack Daniels Winter Jack
Any variety works for me really, as I just love Jack Daniels. But this one really does hit the spot if you are looking for a warming winter drink in the evenings.
#7 Southern Comfort
Again, this is a drink that is always on our list to buy for Christmas. If we don’t buy it for ourselves, we can always count on someone buying it for us as a gift!
I have not yet tried this before but is certainly on my list of drinks to be having this year over Christmas!
#9 Gingerbread Latte
The first non-alcoholic drink on the list but it is certainly worthy! Every year I buy myself a bottle of Monin Gingerbread Syrup and enjoy a homemade Gingerbread Latte most evenings!
This is one of my partner’s favourite drinks of all time, so we always make sure we are stocked up on it once December comes. Before we met I hadn’t tried it before, but it has slowly become another drink I like to have over the holidays.
