Our little family love going off on adventures and seeing where the road takes us (literally!). We are lucky to live in Lowestoft, Suffolk so we are surrounded by beaches, woodlands, nature trials & reserves and so much more, all either right on our doorstep or within a short walk/drive.
We try to make the most of our weekends, regardless of the weather. We’ve been lucky and had a few days of sunshine recently so we’ve still been able to get on the beach as well as having those drizzly days wrapped up and in our wellies, jumping in muddy puddles.
Joshua loves exploring wherever we are so we try to encourage that. Even if we’re just walking to preschool in the morning, he has to stop and talk about what he sees on the roads and brick walls – usually leaves, slugs, stones and berries.
This photo was taken on the beach when we were at a relatives house for dinner. It was heading towards bedtime so we decided to take the kids down to the beach (which was directly behind the house) to let off some energy before bed. It may have been far from a warm, sunny day but Joshua didn’t enjoy it any less!
