We have all experienced periods of not liking our life, let alone loving it. It’s only human to let things build and get you down, when we have so much to be thankful for, to look forward to and look back on.
There will be days where you will not be in love with your life and during those times, try to remember how much you already have.
Here are six reasons to love your life.
Everything You Have
You may not think that you have much and it’s human nature to want more. Often we can focus far too much on what else we want that we don’t notice everything already around us. But as you read this, take notice of everything that you have already accomplished and have in life. You already have so much to be thankful for.
It isn’t all about physical things, you may have family, friends, a career. The least we all have is our life. We are alive and that’s a start; we can always grow from here.
You Are in Control
You are, and always have been, in control of where you are. For the most part. You are the reason you are where you are right now. Everything you have done is down to you! All the decisions you made, turns you took, the places you visited, have all lead you here. You pave the way.
Had I not of gone to the University I did (I very nearly almost didn’t), I wouldn’t have met my partner, had my children, started my blog, became a freelance writer and nothing in my life right now would be the same. I would be living a different life entirely. Maybe that’s a good thing, maybe it’s a bad thing. Who knows? But what I do know is that I love my life and I made it what it is.
The Smaller Things
Life is made up of thousands of smaller things to be grateful for. Tiny things that you may even feel silly for being fond of.
To all the memories that have been made and are yet to be made, this is what life is about. They are a sign that you lived life and enjoyed the moment. They may not all be great memories, but they are something to look back on and to perhaps learn from.
Life is to Learn
Life is all about learning. Everything we have learnt and have yet to learn will shape us to be who we are. Skills, life experience… the more we learn, the larger our world gets.
More to Come
There is so much more to come for us all. You have so much left to experience and to receive in life, it’s only just getting started. Embrace life along with all of its unexpectedness.
